The story

Bringing drivers through

Panis Racing was born in 2016 from the meeting between Olivier Panis and Stéphane Dilouya, around one conviction: a small French team can run at the front in Europe. The first season opened with a start at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and eighth place in class. The team raced under the name Panis-Barthez Compétition in its early years, at the time when Fabien Barthez was driving.

Since 2016, Panis Racing has run young drivers at the highest level of European endurance racing, alongside experienced drivers. Several of them are now professional drivers, manufacturer works drivers or class winners at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

In 2025 the team won the ELMS LMP2 championship with three wins and finished second in class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. In 2026 it races in the colours of Forestier Racing by Panis and defends its title.

What defines us

Our values

A mechanic at work on the car

Rigour

Four hours of racing punish the smallest approximation. That rigour runs through the preparation, the set-up and every decision taken in the race.

A young driver and a member of the team

Passing it on

The team has always run young drivers alongside experienced drivers. Several are now professionals or manufacturer works drivers.

Closeness

A family before an organisation. The same faces from one season to the next, each in their own role, and nobody working alone. That is what lets the team move as one.

The car on track

Consistency

Podiums in the championship and at Le Mans year after year, with driver line-ups that change. Performance comes from what drivers and team build together.

Olivier Panis

He has run the team since it was founded. His hallmark: a small team, where he works with young drivers to bring them up to the highest level.

He raced in 158 Formula 1 Grands Prix between 1994 and 2004 and won the Monaco Grand Prix in 1996.

Title partner

Yves Forestier

Former head of the family business Petit Forestier, he built and grew a company that became an international benchmark.

He applies the same approach to racing: long-term projects, and the time it takes to support young drivers and bring them on. Louis Rousset is the proof, backed since his early days and supported season after season all the way to LMP2.

That path continues with Forestier Racing by Panis, around shared values and a common project.

How the team works

The structure

Panis Racing

The team's own name, created in 2016. It is under this name that the team built its record in the European Le Mans Series and at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Forestier Racing by Panis

The entry name for the 2026 season, born of the title partnership with Yves Forestier. Same team, same colours.

TDS Racing

The season's technical partner. Two separate teams working together: TDS Racing provides the workshop, the running of the car and technical support. Panis Racing keeps its mechanics, its engineers, its strategy, its drivers and its partners.

European Le Mans Series

The championship the team contests: six four-hour races in Europe, three classes on the grid. The team enters an Oreca 07 in LMP2, and starts the 24 Hours of Le Mans every year.

Entry to the 24 Hours of Le Mans is subject to an invitation from the Automobile Club de l'Ouest. That invitation is automatic for the reigning European Le Mans Series champion.
